Egypt, a country linking northeast Africa with the Middle East, dates to the time of the pharaohs. Millennia-old monuments sit along the fertile Nile River Valley, including Giza’s colossal Pyramids and Great Sphinx as well as Luxor’s hieroglyph-lined Karnak Temple and Valley of the Kings tombs. The capital, Cairo, is home to Ottoman landmarks like Muhammad Ali Mosque and the Egyptian Museum. This tour incorporates all the ‘wonders’ of Egypt from Cairo right down to Hurghada. It is certainly going to be a memorable one.

Tour Plan

Day 1 - Saturday
Arrive in Cairo and be transferred to your hotel in Giza. The rest of the day is free for you to rest, get familiar with your surroundings and make new friends.

Day 2 - Sunday
It is an early start with the Full day Pyramids & Egypt Museum tour starting at 9am. At the end of the day we board an overnight train to the beautiful riverside city of Aswan.

Day 3 - Monday
Arrive in Aswan around 8am. Get off the train and check into your hotel. Freshen up and start
exploring the town. In the afternoon we head out on to the Nile river by felucca and stop by
a Nubian village where their way of life both ancient and modern will be explained.

Day 4 - Tuesday
Today we head out to visit the famous Abu Simbel temples near the border with Sudan. We will take a comfortable 3 hour drive to visit the site on the banks of Lake Nasser. After a few hours
taking snaps and learning about the history of the area, we will head back to Aswan. For dinner you are welcome to head out to get some local food or enjoy the nightlife.

Day 5 - Wednesday
After breakfast you will have the day to do as you please. At around 5pm it is time to catch the train to our next stop… the beautiful Luxor. The train ride is about 3 hours and will have us arrive in Luxor at about 8pm. We will then check-in to our hotel and call it
a day.

Day 6 - Thursday
It is a VERY early morning for those who have chosen to take the Hot Air Balloon ride over The Valley of the Kings. For the rest, after breakfast it is time to explore Luxor at your own pace. In the afternoon it is time to head to our next and final stop… Hurghada.

Day 7 - Friday
Today is purely for lazying around, swimming in the Red Sea and eating in the vibey beach resort town of Hurghada.

Day 8 - Saturday
After breakfast we will be transferred to the airport where we will catch a short flight (included in package cost) back to Cairo where our Egypt tour will be wrapped up as we wait for our flight back to Johannesburg in the evening.
